Anti-Racism Conference Notes

I attended an anti-racism discussion initiated by Dr. Bonnie Mason for female physicians and medical trainees. I am so grateful to the women who shared their stories. Their stories made many of us, including myself, choke up that discrimination is such a heavy burden on these women every single day.  Here are notes to share what I’ve learned. Non Traditional Med School Applicant Journey and Gap Year (Canada)

Brandon is a UBC med student whose non traditional path to med school included a dual degree in music composition and biology and a gap year studying music composition in Paris. Watch to hear his advice for other non traditional med school applicants.
